You Will Not Be Truly Satisfied Until You Do This...

Image
Are you looking for satisfaction and fulfillment? To be satisfied and fulfilled you must do something you love to do. But it is not always easy to do that. You will find yourself drifted away from doing what you love and do other things to just make a living. You may be successful but not satisfied and your soul may be looking for something bigger to pursue. Without being clear about the reason why you are here in life you will not feel passionate about what you do and you will not experience true satisfaction and fulfillment. Everything in life has a reason for existence. Until you discover the reason for your existence you will not live a life of awakened soul. Without a purpose you will be sidetracked in your life's journey. You will drift from your right path and achieve little. You will not be able to inject passion and enthusiasm in the activities you do. Without a purpose you will loose your power in front of hard times. When you face challenges you need a...

You Are Not A Victim; You Are Not Alone

If you don’t feel good about yourself, you have to fix it. There’s no other way around it. You can’t raise confident kids, have a healthy relationship, or get satisfaction from your job if you don’t. This comes from someone who didn’t, for most of her life, feel worthwhile. Many books come from the perspective of an expert, someone who already has a healthy sense of self-worth, which I believe immediately sets up an alienating perspective between them and us, those who “know” and the rest of us who struggle with this issue. They assume they know better. They may think they know better, and have a worthwhile plan, but we know what it is really like, we have experienced and not just judged our self-defeating behavior. We all have varying degrees of self-doubt. A person can be wildly successful in their life, and still have deep-seated feelings of worthlessness. There is a fear of discovery that others will come to see what’s behind the curtain in Oz. So we strive to accomplish ...

Work/Life Balance Is Just Good Business!

Image
It would be nice to think that the companies on the leading edge of work/life balance programs are simply being good citizens and doing the right thing! But, the fact is that these programs make good business sense. In addition to increased productivity and employee satisfaction, companies can retain valuable employees in a competitive environment, and attract new employees with these programs. Every generation in the workforce today reports that work and life balance is one of the top issues for them and that they want to work in a company that supports their desire to have more balance in their life. Whatever the reason for the movement, we should be glad it is upon us. Who are the companies with programs, what do the programs look like and what results have they achieved? You might be surprised to know that these companies cut across all industries in the private and the public sector. Here are some examples of program components: Elder care programs consisting ...

Working And Living Are Two Different Things, Don't Blur Them Together!

When you're at home all the time, people have a way of giving you everything to do, with no regard for your job. It can be very hard indeed to keep your family life separate from your business when you work at home -- in fact, this is one of the most common reasons home businesses fail, and their owners come away all too glad to get back to the corporate grindstone. If you don't want to be driven away from home business, here's what you need to do to keep your family at bay. Work Time, Home Time. Make a schedule for when you're going to work and when you're not, and stick to it. This doesn't have to be inflexible -- it's very silly to only work nine to five every day, for example -- but it still really needs to be there. Without a plan, you're inevitably going to go too far one way or the other, and either work far too much or nowhere near enough. You might find it best to a new plan at the start of each month or week, so that you can still res...

Why You Need to Be Aiming High

Change is difficult for many people. Often times our whole identity is wrapped up in what we've learned as children will work for us when dealing with people, allowing us to survive, thrive and fit in. While some people have had to learn to thrive in the midst of change and learned to be adaptable by being open to new ideas and embracing change, many others have had to fight for survival and every table-scrap that came their way. Behavior is learned and it takes work to unlearn and dismantle these old beliefs. The truth of the matter is that win-win is always possible. When you are able to see beyond the ego and recognize the abundance that is available, people, minds, and ideas come together and can create amazing changes that improve the current scenarios for many, many people. When you work with people who have this abundant and generous attitude, you are uplifted, the team soars, and amazing energy and creativity is unleashed. This is much harder to do, to sustain, and ...
